There will be no video because the board with servo drives burned out.
Model: RAE-AH-01
Build Date: August 17, 2025
Status: Operational (head mechanisms only)
The "rock-afire explosion" animatronic head (Servo) is an experimental endoskeleton project replicating the style of classic Rock-afire Explosion characters. It is constructed as a head-only unit with no neck assembly, designed primarily for testing synchronized servo-based facial movement.
Material: metal frame (aluminum/steel skeleton)
Layout: head only, no neck assembly
Servos (MG90S):
Jaw: 1× MG90S — opens and closes the lower jaw
Eyes (paired): 1× MG90S — controls synchronized side-to-side movement of both eyes
Eyelids (paired): 1× MG90S — controls simultaneous open/close motion of both eyelids
Controller: ESP32 microcontroller (direct servo control)
Power Supply:
Servos: 5V external regulated supply
ESP32: 3.3V (onboard regulator)
Software: ESP32Servo library for precise servo motion control
Facial movement limited to three functions: jaw, eye rotation (linked), eyelid motion (linked).
No neck rotation, head tilt, or independent eye control.
Designed as a lightweight test platform for servo programming and synchronized motion control.
USB debugging supported
